Who I work with?

I serve leaders who care about their people, and help ensure the right message is landing with the right people at the right time, using the right channels, every time!

If you are a small - mid-sized company with 2 - 5,000 employees - I want to work with you.

You are probably asking why you should consider working with me - and here are a handful of ways I've help clients:

Why would I hire a change communicator?

When announcing changes to your team most leaders make the mistake of sharing the details that matter to them (the leader). Most of the time, thinking about WIIFM (What's In It For Me), from the employee perspective will be more impactful as leaders share details. This is true for change communication, documenting processes, sharing targets and results.

It works for almost any topic - but it's not always easy to know what the WIIFM is!

How can I figure out exactly what my team needs to know?

The first thing you need to understand is what your team already knows. That's your baseline.

Next, you define what the end result looks like once you successfully implement the change.

The best way to deliver information to your team is to bridge that gap - pick a pain point or two, and share how the change/project/process will make that pain point better.

I even have a custom assessment tool that can pinpoint the communication gaps in your organization!

When should I tell my people what's coming?

As much as I hate the answer "it depends," sadly, it depends. But in general, earlier is better. When teams have time to consider what's coming, without all the nitty-gritty detail, the sooner they will be ready to lean into the changes - because they'll start to see how they benefit from the solution.

This does NOT mean you should share the project plan and rollout details with the entire organization. See more in the next question - Who needs to know what?

Who needs to know what?

This answer is also an "it depends" kind of response, but with some guidelines. Here's a high-level approach to sharing changes with your entire team I follow when launching something big!

You have the project plan, the project team, and the timeline for roll out. This is when you start sharing.

1. Set up a single-source-of-truth.

2. Announce the change.

3. Follow up with a brief (aka VERY short) email to everyone with these details, next step, and link to your single-source-of-truth.

4. Prepare Leader Sneak Peek for people leaders & trusted advisors (more about sneak peeks in next FAQ).

What's a Leader Sneak Peek?

I like to use Leader Sneak Peeks to keep people leaders aware of what's coming. This informs the people who WILL get the questions and makes sure everyone is giving the SAME answers. Sneak Peeks should go out before big milestones and should include updates, action items, single source of truth, and a point of contact for quick answers if questions arise.

How much does help cost?

It's another "it depends" answer, but I assure you we can work out a plan that fits your budget. Below are some of my services - please reach out if you want to see what we can do together!

Change Management Communications

Is the change your organization needs being met with silence, resistance, or confusion?

M&As, software implementations, enterprise restructuring, new leadership - these are all huge changes that must be communicated effectively to ensure your team stays focused, productive, and continues to efficiently serve your customers.

I recognize that change management communications vary according to the audience. Delivering consistent messaging to different audiences requires an empathetic approach that reaches each recipient where they are.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Communications

Your deal may be sound. But if your people don't understand it, don't trust it, or don't see themselves in it — it's already at risk. Learn how M&A communications strategy protects what matters most during your most critical transition.
