Reaching Internal Employees

I help people thrive through change

If there’s one lesson I’ve learned after 25 years in corporate communications, it’s this: true success starts with employees. When people are informed, empowered, and truly heard - no matter how turbulent the times - your entire organization benefits.

When I come into a company, my job is to make sure employees get everything they need to thrive - especially during times of change. Whether your organization is navigating a merger, rolling out new technology, restructuring, or welcoming new leadership, supporting your teams with clear, compassionate, and actionable communication is my mission.

Employees matter - especially now

In moments of transition, uncertainty grows. It’s easy for employees to feel left behind or overwhelmed by change fatigue. I know from experience that the right communication - delivered at the right time and in the right way - can transform anxiety into engagement and resistance into resilience.

Here’s what drives me:

  • People-first: Every message should meet employees where they are. I want to make sure every individual feels valued, informed, and prepared for what’s coming next.

  • Empathy: Understanding what teams need helps me develop communication plans that address not just business goals, but the emotional landscape of change.

  • Measurable impact: I don’t just deliver information - I focus on results. My work is about showing real progress, building trust, and moving your organization forward.

"I am struck by the way Laura consistently delivers outcomes that align our organization’s strategic goals. Her focus on measurable results ensures progress and success with practicality, approachability, and a commitment to building not only business results but also a cohesive, high-performing team."

Delivering What Employees Need to Thrive

What does it take for employees not just to survive, but to excel during change?

Here’s my approach:

  • Clear, honest information: Employees deserve transparency. I believe in sharing what’s known, acknowledging what isn’t, and inviting questions.

  • Tailored messaging: Not everyone responds to change the same way. My communication strategies are customized to match your team’s culture and concerns.

  • Two-way dialogue: Communication isn’t just a broadcast. I help organizations set up feedback channels to listen, adjust, and answer in real time.

  • Consistent touchpoints: During transitions, people crave predictability. I keep the cadence steady, so teams always know what’s next.

  • Pragmatic solutions: Things move fast and get messy. I bring a practical lens, helping busy comms teams do more with less - without sacrificing clarity or care.

The proof is in the partnerships. Here’s what clients and colleagues have shared about working with me:

Why This Work Is Personal

I started Hardin Heights Communications because I saw how comms teams were asked to do more with fewer resources - and how employees often felt lost in the shuffle during big changes. My journey into entrepreneurship was fueled by the desire to solve communication problems and put my experience to work in the most personal, hands-on way.

If you’re facing a transition, I’m here to:

  • Keep your teams engaged, productive, and focused

  • Make sure communication aligns with both business goals and employee reality

  • Be an extension of your team - doing as much or as little as you need so you can enjoy your work again

If you have a project on the horizon, big or small - let’s connect and make change work for everyone - especially your employees. I know I can help!
