On Gratitude - 2025 edition
Gratitude looks a little different for me this year. It’s less about the picture-perfect moments and more about what running this business has quietly, insistently taught me day after day.
This year, gratitude looks like:
Being thankful for the messy middle of projects, when timelines shift and scope changes, because that’s where trust is actually built. This is when I work my hardest to show value, work with others, and make things work for everyone.
Appreciating the leaders who let me into their hardest conversations and trusted me to help them communicate honestly with their people. The leaders who care the most are not always easy to find, but they are worth the effort once connected.
Feeling grateful for the days that stretched me past my comfort zone - finding new services, new ideal clients, new approaches (looking at you, AI). To all the can we try this? experimentors, and wow, that flopped! moments: thank you for pushing, suggesting more, and teaching me what I’m really here to do.
Noticing the tiny signals that the work matters: a calmer leadership team, a smoother rollout, an employee who finally feels seen and heard. I'm grateful for the quiet successes and the loud celebrations that come from hard work and great teams!
Honoring the fact that I get to build a business that aligns with my values, one relationship, one message, and one change at a time.
So this year, I’m grateful not just for what my business gives me, but for what it keeps asking me to become: braver, clearer, more human, and more committed to helping people navigate change with a little more care and a lot more heart.
If you are reading this, I am grateful for you. You have made a difference this year and I won't forget it!
